Public Telegram Security Advisories to Discord and X

To send public Telegram security alerts to Discord and X (Twitter), route a human-approved advisory source—not your incident channel. RedFox Auto Forward Telegram (@AutoForwardNew_Bot) can distribute the prepared notice through separate Discord and X Publish Tasks. Keep the official source, affected versions and advisory revision visible; verify each destination after an update or correction.

Identity check: RedFox is the team; Auto Forward Telegram is the product. The historical @Auto_Forward_Messages_Bot has moved to @AutoForwardNew_Bot. Auto-Bot.io is a separate editorial publisher, not the bot’s developer or operator.

Conceptual human review of an approved public advisory routed from Telegram to Discord and X, with a locked private folder outside the publishing path
Conceptual illustration, not product UI: a person approves public disclosure before distribution. The separate private folder is not an automatic redaction feature.

This runbook is for security educators, threat-intelligence knowledge-sharing teams and IT communities. It distributes already public, permitted information; it does not turn raw threat-actor posts, customer incidents or private logs into publishable intelligence. Documentation was checked October 3, 2026. The samples below are fictional, not live vulnerability announcements or delivery tests.

Make the public-disclosure decision before the route sees the post

Use a dedicated Telegram source containing only final public-ready notices. Keep research discussion, embargoed findings and customer material elsewhere. A private source can still feed a public destination: membership and technical access are not permission to disclose.

FIRST’s Traffic Light Protocol 2.0 defines TLP:CLEAR as shareable without a disclosure limit, subject to standard copyright rules. TLP:GREEN is not for publicly accessible channels. TLP:AMBER, TLP:AMBER+STRICT and TLP:RED also have narrower sharing boundaries. A public X account is not a substitute for the restricted audience a source specified. The same concern applies to a publicly accessible Discord channel.

Candidate source materialPublic route decision
Official public vendor/CERT advisory, with permitted reuseWrite a short attributed notice and link to the original. Preserve source restrictions and any required credits.
Source-labeled TLP:CLEAR informationCheck additional restrictions, copyright and your release policy before preparing the notice.
TLP:GREEN/AMBER/AMBER+STRICT/RED, an embargo, or unclear sharing permissionKeep it out of this public source. Obtain explicit source permission for wider disclosure; do not relabel it yourself.
Customer incident, private logs, leaked credentials, internal screenshots or raw attack claimsDo not route them. This public-advisory workflow does not authorize investigation, disclosure or republication of that material.

TLP is a sharing protocol, not a license, accuracy certificate or automatic data-safety check. FIRST allows the source to add restrictions and requires explicit source permission to widen sharing. The absence of a TLP label does not mean a document is free to republish. CISA’s TLP guidance provides another official explanation.

Build the advisory card from official evidence

Open the vendor’s or responsible CERT’s original advisory, then the published CVE record when applicable. Do not use a repost, search snippet or AI-generated summary as the authority for affected versions. The CVE Program’s CNA rules, version 4.0 explain affected-product/version information and public references. They are CVE-record rules, not a claim that every community bulletin is a CNA submission.

  • Identity: advisory ID, actual published CVE ID if one exists, vendor and exact product/component.
  • Scope: affected version ranges, branches/platforms and required conditions exactly as the official source states. Keep “unknown” distinct from “affected” or “unaffected.”
  • Action: link the vendor’s current guidance. Identify a fixed version only when the source confirms it for the relevant branch; do not invent a universal upgrade target.
  • Provenance: original advisory URL, source revision/date and your source-check time with timezone.
  • Public notice revision: your own bulletin version and responsible editor. This is an editorial convention, not a built-in RedFox version tracker.

If sources disagree, pause the affected claim and resolve it against the responsible vendor/CNA or publish a carefully attributed uncertainty that is itself approved for public release. Do not turn a CVSS severity into evidence of active exploitation; retain who assessed it, the score/version and scope only when needed and actually sourced.

Illustrative Telegram input, Discord output and short X version

All fields in these samples are invented: Example Gateway, versions, times, advisory findings and URLs demonstrate structure only. CVE-1900-0001 is an example identifier, not a real vulnerability: the linked CVE rules reserve the CVE-1900- prefix for example/test use and say it must not be treated as live information. The example.org URLs are placeholders. Never publish this sample as a real security alert.

Telegram input: approved public card

ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY — PUBLIC ADVISORY
Bulletin: DEMO-ADV-01, revision 1
Example/test CVE: CVE-1900-0001 (not a real vulnerability)
Product: Example Gateway, stable branch
Affected: 3.2.0 through 3.2.2, only when the example optional module is enabled
Vendor guidance: review the official advisory for the relevant branch
Official source placeholder: https://example.org/vendor-advisory
Source revision: 1; checked 2026-10-03 08:00 UTC
Public notice prepared: 2026-10-03 08:10 UTC
Approved for this illustrative public-distribution example; no private data

For a real notice, replace every field with verified facts and actual links. Preserve any genuine source TLP marking and additional restrictions immediately before the information. Do not add TLP:CLEAR merely because you want to automate publication. The approval in the sample is human editorial approval, not a product moderation queue.

Discord output: a compact community advisory

ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY — DEMO-ADV-01 r1
Example/test CVE: CVE-1900-0001 — not a real vulnerability
Example Gateway stable 3.2.0–3.2.2; example optional module enabled

This is proposed human-written output, not an observed delivery. Short Header/Footer text can add community context using the documented Discord publishing options. Include those additions in the final length and data-safety check. Avoid live role/everyone mentions in your first test; publishing a message does not prove members received a notification.

X output: write the public lead before routing it

For Telegram threat intelligence on Twitter/X, make the short post accurate on its own and link the full public advisory. As checked October 3, 2026, X’s standard limit is 280 weighted characters; valid URLs count as 23. Check the complete outgoing text with real links and Header/Footer. RedFox’s inspected X path mechanically shortens long text; that is not editorial summarization and can remove essential scope. Use the short-source preparation guide rather than relying on automatic summaries, threads or preservation of every qualifier. If the accurate lead will not fit, shorten it yourself or do not route that item to X.

Configure the publishing route without duplicating setup instructions

Both first-party provider guides require an active External Publish addon. Discord uses a verified bot account, destination Channel ID and channel access/send permissions. X uses its own verified account and API authorization; X API usage charges are separate from RedFox access. This is publishing configuration, not an incident-response integration.

  1. Select controlled endpoints first. Use a harmless public-ready Telegram test source and a secondary destination you are authorized to test. Treat task creation as potentially activating publication; do not choose a real audience while experimenting.
  2. Open Web → Home → Publish. Follow the Discord setup guide or X setup guide for Platform Accounts and the actual credential form. Credentials never belong in an advisory, screenshot or public support thread.
  3. Create separate purpose-specific Publish Tasks. Choose the approved source, intended provider account and exact destination. If Discord needs a detailed card but X needs shorter wording, prepare separate approved Telegram sources/routes instead of assuming automatic audience-specific rewriting.
  4. Review Header/Footer, timing and change options. Include edited/deleted-message options are documented for both providers; verify actual destination behavior before relying on them. Check the current task state before adding a fresh test message.
  5. Inspect the result. Use the acceptance checklist below; Connected or Running alone does not close the delivery check.

Automate the repeat publishing, keep the disclosure decision human: prepare one safe advisory card and configure one authorized test route in RedFox Web. After a person checks the output, expand only to destinations meant to receive that public content.

A no-leak checklist before every public notice

  • Confirm the original advisory is public and reuse/disclosure is permitted; preserve source restrictions, attribution and any embargo boundary.
  • Recheck product, affected versions, conditions, source revision and timestamps. Do not announce a patch or active exploitation without the corresponding official evidence.
  • Exclude customer identities, tenant names, internal hostnames/IPs, private chat links, account IDs, log extracts, access tokens, API keys and signed URLs. Include public indicators only when already officially disclosed and appropriate to this permitted bulletin—not copied from a private case.
  • Inspect attached images, filenames, captions, document metadata and the link destination as well as the text. Prefer a clean public-source link over an internal-console screenshot.
  • Open links as the intended public reader; reject admin/edit links, private tickets, restricted storage and unexpected redirects/downloads.
  • Read the entire outgoing wording, including Header/Footer and mentions. On X, make sure shortening has not removed the affected range or condition.
  • Name the approver and correction owner in your existing internal editorial record, without storing credentials or unnecessary personal data.

This checklist is a manual editorial control, not proof of leak prevention. The publishing route does not establish automatic redaction, secret detection, vulnerability validation, triage, patching or remediation. Use your organization’s separate incident-response and emergency-notification process when those are needed; this workflow carries no emergency paging or delivery SLA promise.

Own advisory updates and corrections by destination

An update reports a genuine change in the official advisory, such as newly clarified affected versions. A correction acknowledges that your earlier notice was wrong. Keep the source revision separate from your bulletin revision, and retain a visible explanation rather than silently replacing the old range.

Illustrative update: the authority revises the scope

ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY — UPDATE DEMO-ADV-01, revision 2
Example/test CVE: CVE-1900-0001
The example vendor's source r2 now limits the affected stable versions to 3.2.1–3.2.2.
Source r1 had listed 3.2.0–3.2.2. The optional-module condition remains.
Source r2 checked 2026-10-03 10:00 UTC; notice issued 10:10 UTC.
Current public source placeholder: https://example.org/vendor-advisory
This supersedes our r1 notice; no claim about any real product.

Illustrative correction: your team omitted a condition

ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY — CORRECTION DEMO-ADV-01, revision 1.1
Our r1 notice omitted the example optional-module condition.
Correct scope: Example Gateway 3.2.0–3.2.2 ONLY when that module is enabled.
The vendor's source r1 did not change; our wording was wrong.
Corrected 2026-10-03 08:30 UTC.
Source placeholder: https://example.org/vendor-advisory

These are alternative fictional scenarios, not one real vulnerability chronology. Prepare the short X correction deliberately with the same scope and source access; do not route the long template and assume an automatic cut preserves its meaning.

LocationAction and verification
Official advisory / public reference pageLink its current revision. Your team cannot silently modify someone else’s advisory; distinguish a vendor update from an error in your summary.
Your Telegram source noticeCorrect your wording visibly, retain original/revision times and approve a new update/correction message for the appropriate destinations.
Existing Discord messageIf tested edit handling applies, inspect the exact original after the source edit. Otherwise an authorized moderator amends it visibly, or publishes a new linked correction. Update pins only through an authorized moderator.
Existing X postPlan a new standalone correction/update with the official source link. An authorized native reply can connect it to the original when available. Do not rely on the Publish edit toggle to edit the old X post in place.
A missed destination or external reshareRecord which copy exists before sending. Do not assume a correction is appropriate for an audience that never received the original, or that you can recall a third-party copy.

The RedFox X guide documents source-change options, but the inspected X publishing edit path does not implement in-place editing. That implementation evidence is not a new live test. New approved notices and exact destination checks remain the dependable editorial plan.

  1. Identify the affected bulletin and official revision; open the original destination posts before assuming reach.
  2. If unsafe content may continue, stop only the affected route and review scheduled work. Stopping does not retract existing posts; deleting Telegram does not prove every copy disappeared.
  3. Fix your source and approve the new public notice. If the route is stopped, keep it stopped until safe, then deliberately reactivate before a fresh approved message—or use an authorized native/separate route. Do not assume messages posted while stopped are replayed.
  4. Verify original and new copies separately on Discord and X. If publication timed out, inspect the destination before reposting to avoid duplicates.
  5. Close your existing editorial record per destination: bulletin/source revisions, public source URL/check time, original/correction links, observed result, checker/time and any pending action. Do not put private incident evidence in this publishing record.

If sensitive data was accidentally published, stop further spread and involve the responsible security/privacy owner through your established private process. Do not repeat the sensitive data in a public correction. This article does not promise recall, automated cleanup or incident remediation.

Test the safe content—not just the task status

  • Fresh harmless notice: while the intended test route is active, verify the correct Discord channel/X account, bulletin ID, version range, condition and no unexpected duplicate.
  • Public source link: open it from the actual destination and confirm the intended advisory revision is available to that reader.
  • Text and media: verify complete scope, Header/Footer, safe caption and useful image representation. Do not use private logs as a test attachment.
  • Update and correction: rehearse a fictional revision in controlled endpoints; inspect the original and new notice on each provider. Record actual edit/delete behavior only if tested.
  • Failure: check task/account/destination permission and the specific error. Documented rate-limit retry remains subject to provider limits; skipping an error is not proof of delivery. Keep unchecked destinations pending rather than calling the bulletin complete.

Questions from security community operators

Can I publish TLP:GREEN because my server is a security community?

Not through a publicly accessible channel. FIRST limits TLP:GREEN sharing to the specified community and excludes publicly accessible channels. This runbook is for publicly permitted advisory distribution, not a restricted intelligence exchange.

Does RedFox redact secrets or patch affected systems?

Neither is established by this publishing workflow. Prepare and approve safe public content yourself. RedFox handles repeat distribution of that prepared source; system owners separately evaluate and implement official vendor guidance.

Will deleting the Telegram post recall the alert everywhere?

Do not assume so. Inspect each destination’s actual result and use authorized native actions when needed. A copied screenshot or third-party reshare is outside the route’s control.

Start with one approved public advisory source

RedFox Auto Forward Telegram reduces repeated copy-and-paste for finished advisory notices. Manage routes in the Web app, iOS or Android; the current bot is another entry point. RedFox confirms active tasks run in its cloud without leaving the management interface open; account access and destination permissions must remain valid.

Next step: choose a source containing only approved public notices, write one harmless test advisory, and configure one permitted destination in RedFox Web. Verify the output and rehearse a correction before widening the audience. Use the cross-platform publishing hub and product overview for the wider product—not as a replacement for disclosure approval.
