Telegram video archive organized into stacks labelled May 31, Jun 6 and Jun 7, with the headline Keep the Original Days.

A large Telegram video archive does not have to become a wall of newly dated posts. RedFox Auto Forward Telegram’s Date-wise Clone adds an original-day heading before the messages copied from each day, so readers can browse the history by when the content originally appeared. The heading preserves that day’s context; it does not backdate Telegram’s native message timestamp.

Use this workflow when moving your own or licensed course videos, project recordings or community history into another Telegram channel or group. The useful result is a browsable archive with meaningful day dividers, not a claim that every item was sent years ago or that the entire account has been backed up.

RedFox develops the product; Auto-Bot.io publishes this guide. Instructions follow the official Clone documentation, checked November 2, 2026.

Keep the original day, not an old sending timestamp

Imagine a training channel with recordings published on May 31, June 6 and June 7. Copying them into a new destination makes new Telegram messages. Date-wise Clone inserts headings for those original days, giving members a way to distinguish an earlier workshop from a later follow-up without manually adding a date to every video.

  • Original-day heading: a separate date label added by AutoForward before that day’s copied messages.
  • Native Telegram time: the time the new copy is sent. It is not replaced by the original date.
  • Clone message count: excludes the inserted date headings, according to RedFox. A heading is not another archived video.

The date headings use the timezone configured for your AutoForward account. Check it before a large run, especially if posts near midnight must belong to the day your audience expects. Telegram’s message reference lists date as the “Date of the message.” RedFox’s Clone guide explicitly says copied messages still show the time they are sent; its original-day heading is additional content, not a replacement for the native timestamp.

Plan one archive before opening the full history

Start with a migration sheet for each source-to-target pair. Record the source, destination, intended account timezone, first and last source message IDs, required media, selected sender and whether any of that selection already exists in the destination. This is an editorial operating aid, not an AutoForward import format.

For a network of private channels or groups, keep each pair identifiable and work through the account’s accepted operations sequentially: RedFox documents only one active clone operation per account. Many saved profiles do not imply simultaneous cloning or unlimited account capacity. There is no universal completion-time estimate for a large video history.

Access and permission: the connected Telegram account must be able to read the source. RedFox’s private-channel FAQ requires that account to be joined to a private channel. Choose a destination where the sending identity can post, and copy only content you own or may redistribute to that audience. A paid membership does not itself grant reuse rights.

Private and protected archives are part of the use case. RedFox confirms Clone from private or ordinary Protect Content channels and groups the connected account has joined. RedFox also reports customers cloning hundreds of such channels and groups holding millions of videos. That is reported customer-use scale, not an independently audited benchmark, a simultaneous workload or a per-account allowance.

For entitlement, RedFox’s product repository describes history cloning as Premium. Check your account’s current Clone allowance, selection limits and sender eligibility before committing the archive. The protected-source forwarding guide covers the separate ongoing-post workflow; its all-plan protected-forwarding scope is not a large-history Clone entitlement.

Create a Date-wise Clone profile

  1. Open Home → Clone. Use a one-time Clone for a single run, or open Clone Profiles and choose New profile to save the setup.
  2. Select Source Chat Clone and Target Chat Clone. Compare both with your migration sheet before proceeding. An archive label is not enough to distinguish two similarly named channels.
  3. Choose By count or ID range. Enter Start From Message ID. For ID range, also enter End ID (included). IDs select source positions; they are not dates or a guaranteed delivery total.
  4. Turn on Date-wise clone. It is off by default. Check the account timezone and review the selected range and any relevant content rules.
  5. Review Delay Clone and the summary. Set an appropriate delay if needed; a delay is not a guarantee against Telegram restrictions. For a one-time run, choose Start Clone. For a saved setup, choose Save profile, then use Run when ready.

The current guide permits an ID range of up to 100,000 source IDs. That is a range bound, not a promise to copy 100,000 videos, a total archive ceiling or proof that your account’s plan permits that workload. Deleted, filtered or skipped messages can reduce the result. Keep the selected boundaries in your record instead of translating an ID difference into a video count.

Albums need complete boundaries: RedFox says an album crossing the selected range boundary is skipped as a whole. Choose a small initial range containing complete albums rather than splitting a grouped lesson across two runs. For detailed gap diagnosis, keep the ID-range and album recovery guide as the sibling reference instead of restarting the whole archive.

Decide who may send the archive

Clone Profiles use the Personal Telegram Account by default. If the sender identity matters for your migration, review it before running, not after thousands of copies are visible.

The Clone Bot Sender documentation requires an active paid Platinum plan, a saved bot and target sending permissions. Platinum Trial, Gold, Diamond, Free and expired plans cannot enable that option. Crucially, albums still use the Personal Telegram Account even when Bot Sender is enabled. If every item must be bot-sent, do not launch an album-containing run until you have a confirmed acceptable route.

This is a separate decision from date headings. Do not change the sender merely to fix a day label, and do not treat a heading or a successful bot-access check as proof of bot-only delivery. The mixed-archive sender guide explains the album exception in depth.

Check a small two-day sample before expanding

Use a private destination you control and harmless content you may copy. Check the following before expanding:

  1. Pick an interpretable sample. Include complete video posts from two known original days and a complete album if the real archive contains albums. Record their source IDs, original displayed days and account timezone. Keep other routes into the test destination out of this check.
  2. Run the reviewed selection once. Confirm Date-wise clone is on, the intended source and target are selected, and the chosen sender is acceptable. Wait for the operation to settle.
  3. Inspect the actual destination. Match each selected source item to its copy. Check the original-day headings, video playback, captions and album grouping. Expect new sending times on the copies; an old day label does not make them old Telegram messages.
  4. Reconcile the summary separately. Do not count headings as videos. Record missing or unexpected items individually, with their source IDs, rather than accepting a green badge as a complete archive audit.
  5. Expand only after the sample answers your requirements. Keep a record of completed selections and existing destination copies before moving to the next non-overlapping selection. Do not delete the source or your only original because a sample passed.

If a heading shows an unexpected day, first compare the source’s date with the configured account timezone. For a near-midnight post, different timezone interpretations can produce different calendar days. Keep a specific example and its timezone when asking support; do not change several settings or rerun the full archive to investigate one label.

Continue the accepted run instead of starting over

The Clone documentation says backgrounding the app does not intentionally stop an accepted clone, although live progress can pause. Open the profile and use Click to Refresh if the status looks stale; wait for the current operation to finish before using Run again.

For Completed with issues, inspect the summary and use Retry Missing when eligible retryable messages are available. Clone Again starts a brand-new operation from the beginning. The range and recovery guide covers gaps, complete-album boundaries and deliberate reruns in depth.

Turning Date-wise clone off affects future runs, not headings already sent. Deleting a profile does not remove Telegram copies or previous run history. If you need to interrupt the operation, use Stop and verify the settled state; Stopping may briefly remain while the current message finishes.

RedFox’s bot-command Clone guide warns that bulk copying can delay existing setups and trigger temporary Telegram sending limits. Respect an actual reported limit rather than stacking restarts. For an unexplained result, retain a sanitized profile label, range, status, source IDs and target observations for RedFox support.

Frequently asked questions

Why might a late-night video appear under the next day?

Date-wise headings use your configured account timezone. Compare that timezone with the source date you used for your expectation, especially near midnight. Test a known boundary example before migrating the full selection; a heading does not change the new copy’s Telegram sending time.

Which plan does a large archive Clone need?

RedFox describes history cloning as Premium, and the Clone guide lists plan limits among the reasons a run may not start. Check the allowance shown for your account and selection. The separate Clone Bot Sender option specifically requires paid Platinum and excludes Platinum Trial; albums retain its personal-account sender exception.

Can I run all my saved source profiles at once?

RedFox documents one clone operation per account at a time. Save distinct profiles for clarity, but wait for the active operation to finish before starting the next one. A profile count is not a concurrency allowance.

Will this keep copying new posts after the archive finishes?

A historical Clone and an ongoing source-to-target forwarding task are different workflows. Configure and verify a separate live route if you need future posts; reconcile its boundary with the copied history so the handover does not repeat the same posts.

Make the archive useful to its next reader

Your next step: open RedFox Auto Forward Telegram, plan one source-to-target archive and validate a small Date-wise Clone selection. Continue when the copied videos, original-day headings and sender behavior match your requirements—not simply when a counter stops moving.

Choose the Web App, official iOS app or Android app for fuller management than the limited Telegram-bot entrypoint. The current bot is @AutoForwardNew_Bot; the previous @Auto_Forward_Messages_Bot has moved there. Active forwarding tasks run in RedFox’s cloud without keeping the management interface open; use the Clone Profile’s refreshed status to judge this history operation.
