If new Telegram posts arrive but stay in the source language, check Show Header Forwarder on the same task as Translate Language. In RedFox Auto Forward Telegram (@AutoForwardNew_Bot), the official translation guide explicitly says translation will not work when Show Header Forwarder is enabled. First confirm that this is your saved configuration; then check a fresh, recognizable sentence with the header off and the intended language pair saved.

This guide is for an existing route with working delivery, not a new-account setup. The header conflict is a documented cause to check, not an explanation for every unchanged message. The steps below separate missing posts, unchanged text and poor translation so you can decide what to fix without rebuilding a working route.

Auto-Bot.io publishes this editorial guide; RedFox is the product team. The previous bot has moved to @AutoForwardNew_Bot; use this current handle. The featured image is a concept illustration, not product UI or a tested before-and-after.

1. Decide whether this is delivery, translation or wording

Use one recent source message and its actual destination copy. Do not infer a translation result from the settings screen alone.

  • No destination message: investigate delivery first. Check the exact source and target, task status, configured delay and rules that could exclude that post. A missing copy cannot tell you whether translation worked.
  • The copy arrives in the source language: continue with the task and header checks below. First make sure the source sentence is not already in the requested target language.
  • The language changes, but the meaning is wrong: translation is occurring for that specimen. Move to language-pair and editorial-quality checks rather than treating it as a total translation failure.

A ticker, brand name, URL or emoji-only post is a weak diagnostic specimen: those elements may reasonably stay the same. Inspect ordinary sentence text. Text drawn inside an image is also outside this plain-text check; an unchanged picture does not establish that a caption failed to translate.

2. Record the exact task before touching it

Open the task responsible for the observed copy. The official task-settings guide documents the Telegram-bot route as /settings or /forward, then Manage Forwarding Tasks or Show ALL, then the selected task. Advanced Configuration contains the header and translation controls. Web and mobile navigation may differ.

Prefer the Web App, iOS app or Android app for fuller management than the limited Telegram-bot entrypoint; choose the surface you prefer. Record:

  • The task reference, source chat and destination chat, including any other task sending to that destination.
  • The task status, delay and relevant duplicate, content-type, blacklist or whitelist rules.
  • The saved native-header state and, if enabled, its Display Mode.
  • The saved translation source and target languages, plus any custom header/footer or replacement rules that could affect what you read.

Keep a private before-state note or sanitized screenshot. Do not post chat IDs, private message links or account details publicly. Leave the connected account, sender, source and target unchanged while diagnosing the header conflict.

3. Check the native-header conflict, not a look-alike field

The translation and task-settings docs call the control Show Header Forwarder; the Forward Header guide calls it Show Forward Header. It governs native “Forwarded from” attribution. It is not Add Header, which inserts your own text into the message body, and it is not the sender identity.

The Forward Header guide describes two Display Modes: show the label on all auto-forwarded messages, or only when the source message was itself forwarded. It does not document a translation exemption for either mode. Do not assume selecting “source-forwarded only” makes an enabled header compatible with translation. For this diagnostic, check the native-header control itself.

  1. Choose a safe place to check. Use harmless text and source/destination chats you control. Do not send specimens through a route that broadcasts to an audience. If the affected task is live, retain its before-state and use an authorized controlled route with matching relevant settings; record the differences. A separate route can narrow the issue, not prove the live task is fixed.
  2. Turn the native-header control off on the controlled task. If it was already off, record that fact instead of toggling it back on just to reproduce a failure.
  3. Open Translate Language on that same task. Confirm source-to-target direction. For a known Spanish specimen going to an English audience, use Spanish es as source and English en as target. The docs also list auto for source-language detection; do not confuse the source choice with the desired output language.
  4. Save and reopen. Complete the save or confirmation your interface shows. Reopen the same task and read back both header-off and the intended language pair. If either did not persist, resolve that before interpreting a new message.

Source credit still matters. If your publication requires a native forward header, do not silently remove that requirement to obtain translation. Agree on a permitted translated-copy format and explicit editorial source credit, or keep the original attribution policy and seek product guidance. A manually written source line is not equivalent to Telegram’s native header and does not grant redistribution rights. For the broader policy decision, use our forward-header display guide.

4. Compare fresh sentences, not old destination copies

This is a reader-run diagnostic, not an account test performed by Auto-Bot.io. The sentences below are invented specimens. Use them only in controlled chats, make sure they are eligible under the task’s other rules, and wait through its configured delay.

If you already have a safe before-state example, keep its actual text and timestamp. There is no need to enable a known conflicting setting solely to collect a baseline. After saving the intended configuration, compose these as two distinct new source posts:

  1. Specimen A: “Prueba A: La biblioteca abre mañana por la mañana.” For an English target, look for the meaning “The library opens tomorrow morning.”
  2. Specimen B: “Prueba B: La reunión será el jueves en la sala azul.” Look for the meaning “The meeting will be on Thursday in the blue room.”

These English sentences are meaning references, not promised verbatim product output. Check whether ordinary prose changes into English and whether the time, day and location survive. Do not mark a run failed merely because “Prueba A” or a proper name remains unchanged.

For each specimen, note the source text and message reference, send time, saved task configuration, actual destination text and arrival time. Confirm the copy came from the intended task rather than another active route. Use fresh wording for another comparison so duplicate filtering does not obscure the result. Do not judge the change by editing an older source post or rereading an old destination copy: this procedure does not establish retrospective rewriting.

5. Let the observed result choose the next action

  • Both new posts arrive in English with the intended meaning: the controlled configuration translated those specimens. If a recorded before-state had the header enabled and unchanged output, the result is consistent with the documented conflict. It does not prove every content type, language or live route will behave identically.
  • Both arrive, but ordinary Spanish prose remains unchanged: reopen the task and verify the saved header-off state and es → en pair. Confirm route ownership and that you are reading new copies. If those checks hold, preserve the evidence and ask product support to investigate; do not keep changing unrelated settings.
  • One or both never arrive: return to delivery. Compare rules, delay and task status against the before-state. Do not disable all filters on a live route to make a test pass.
  • The output is English but gets Thursday or the room wrong: treat it as a meaning-quality problem. Check the selected source language and actual source text; with a known single-language source, an explicit source code removes uncertainty about what you asked the task to translate. Review important facts before publishing.
  • Plain text works, but a real post does not: check that authorized variant separately, such as text accompanying a photo. Preserve the exact failing form; the plain-text result does not certify media, captions or mixed-language content.

RedFox describes active tasks as cloud-run; its runtime FAQ says you do not need to keep your internet on for the bot to copy messages. Keeping the management screen open is therefore not the documented remedy for this header conflict. You still need access to inspect settings and results.

6. Restore safely or send a useful support report

Before applying a controlled finding to an audience-facing route, confirm the attribution policy and record the exact proposed change. Pause the affected task if needed to avoid unsuitable new output, restore the recorded settings if the result is unacceptable, save and reopen, then verify a fresh authorized post before wider use. Do not assume pausing clears queued work or restarting replays missed posts.

For unresolved cases, give product support a concise, sanitized report:

  • “New posts arrive unchanged” or the precise alternative symptom, plus the interface used and app version if available.
  • The task reference through a private support channel, header state/Display Mode and saved source/target language pair.
  • Two short source examples, their timestamps/timezone and exact actual outputs, or an explicit note that a copy never arrived.
  • The relevant delay/filter settings, overlapping routes checked, and whether this was the affected route or a controlled equivalent.

Never send login codes, passwords or session material. Do not reconnect the account, reset Telegram or delete a working task as a first response to an isolated translation symptom. If delivery itself has never worked, use the complete forwarding setup guide instead. For terminology and multi-market planning after translation works, continue with the multilingual workflow guide.

FAQ

What if Show Header Forwarder is already off?

The documented conflict is not established as your cause. Confirm the saved language pair on the correct task, check fresh ordinary text and follow the observed-result branches. Keep the off state recorded rather than manufacturing a failure with it enabled.

Must Reply, Edit and Replace also be enabled for this conflict to happen?

No. The official warning lists features that will not work when Show Header Forwarder is on; it is not an instruction to enable that entire group before translation is affected.

Can unchanged words be a correct result?

Yes. The source may already match the target, and names, links or symbols can remain unchanged. Use a full sentence in a known different language before concluding that translation did not occur.

Check one route before changing the whole workflow

Review the RedFox Auto Forward Telegram overview, then open the Web App to inspect your existing task or use your preferred mobile app. The useful outcome is specific: the saved configuration matches your translation and attribution needs, and fresh destination text demonstrates the intended language and meaning. A settings change alone is not that result.
