Telegram Sender Bot: Forward Files Above 20MB

If your Telegram Sender Bot forwards text and small files but cannot handle a larger video or document, check the file-size boundary before replacing the bot. RedFox Auto Forward Telegram (@AutoForwardNew_Bot) documents a standard 20MB file download limit for Sender Bot forwarding. Its Sender Bot Large Files 2GB add-on extends that workflow to supported files up to 2GB (2000MB), while keeping your configured Sender Bot.
This guide is for an operator with an existing Telegram-to-Telegram forwarding task, not a first-time setup or a history-cloning job. The previous bot, @Auto_Forward_Messages_Bot, has moved to @AutoForwardNew_Bot. RedFox operates the product; Auto-Bot.io is an editorial publisher, not its developer or operator.
The instructions below follow the official large-file add-on guide, checked October 24, 2026. The featured image is a concept illustration, not product UI or evidence of a completed transfer. The sample checks are for you to run in a source and target you control.
1. Confirm that this is a Sender Bot size problem
Start with one affected file and the saved sender for that task. A connected Telegram account reading the source is not necessarily the identity sending the copy to the destination. The Sender Type documentation distinguishes Personal Telegram Account from Telegram Bot.
- Check Sender Type: confirm that the affected task uses Telegram Bot and identify the selected bot or bot strategy. Do not assume all your tasks use the same sender.
- Check the source file: record its displayed size and media type, and confirm the connected account can still access it. Diagnose the individual file, not the combined size of a whole channel or album.
- Check a smaller item: if text and a small file also fail on the same route, size alone is not a sufficient diagnosis. Check the task, source, destination rights and relevant rules first.
- Check the destination bot: it must still be connected, added to the target, and granted the required sending permissions. The sender guide requires target admin status with Send Messages permission for configured sender bots.
If you have not established basic delivery, use the Telegram forwarding setup guide. If only one kind of media is missing, keep its content rules and destination permissions in view; buying capacity does not correct an unrelated exclusion.
2. Use the right limit for this workflow
RedFox's add-on guide gives three useful boundaries:
- Standard Sender Bot workflow: a 20MB file download limit in Auto Forward.
- With Sender Bot Large Files 2GB active: supported files up to 2GB, described by RedFox as 2000MB.
- Above 2GB: not covered by this add-on.
Do not substitute a limit from a different operation. Telegram's Bots FAQ describes downloading files and uploading files separately. A number quoted for sending a file is not automatically the number available when a forwarding workflow must first retrieve it. Nor does a personal Telegram account's allowance establish a Sender Bot's capability.
For this decision, use RedFox's documented Sender Bot scope. The add-on lists photos, videos, documents, audio, voice messages, animations and video notes. It is not a promise that every Telegram feature, every destination platform or an entire archive inherits a 2GB allowance.
Illustrative case: an educator's existing bot sends workshop notices to a member channel. A small PDF arrives, but the next standalone lesson video is 500MB. That video exceeds the documented standard boundary and falls within the add-on's documented size range. This makes the extension relevant to evaluate; it does not prove why a particular failed post was missed or that a previous post will be replayed automatically.
3. Extend the existing bot without rebuilding the task
The useful distinction is that the add-on extends your configured Sender Bot. You do not need to create another bot or a separate forwarding setup just to gain its documented larger-file capacity.
- Open Auto Forward and go to Add-ons.
- Find Sender Bot Large Files 2GB.
- Review the displayed price, access duration and activation terms before purchasing or activating it. The documentation checked for this guide states a 30-day duration; do not assume permanent access or reuse an old promotional price.
- Purchase or activate only if the extension fits your actual Sender Bot workflow.
- Confirm that the add-on is active. RedFox documents that the increased capacity then becomes available automatically, with no additional per-task configuration.
Leave the working task's source, target, sender and deliberate content rules unchanged during this check. Recreating the task or rotating bots at the same time makes it harder to tell what changed. Do not expose a bot token in a screenshot or support message.
RedFox says small files continue through the standard delivery path and the larger-file path is used when necessary. That describes the mechanism, not a measured transfer time or a guarantee that a large video arrives as quickly as a text post.
4. Check one fresh larger file, not the whole backlog
Use content you own or have permission to redistribute, with a destination controlled by your team. If your current task reaches real members, use an appropriate controlled test route rather than sending disposable diagnostic media to a public audience.
- Save the starting state: task label, source and target, saved Sender Type, chosen bot, relevant rules, and whether the add-on is active.
- Observe a fresh small file: choose an ordinary permitted item comfortably below the standard boundary. Confirm its actual arrival and sender in Telegram.
- Observe a fresh larger supported file: choose one comfortably above 20MB and below 2000MB. Record its actual size and posting time. Avoid using a boundary-sized file as your first check.
- Inspect the destination: open the received item. Check the intended chat, visible sender, playable video or readable document, and associated caption. A task badge alone does not establish that the expected media arrived.
- Record the result before expanding: keep a privacy-safe source/target comparison. One successful item supports that observation, not every file type or future delivery.
Do not assume activation will recover an older failed item automatically. Establish the fresh-message path first; then decide separately whether an authorized missing post needs another copy, checking the target for an existing copy before you act. Historical bulk copying belongs to the Clone workflow and its range/retry checks, not this add-on activation procedure.
5. Let the result choose the next action
- Small and larger files both arrive: keep the working sender and settings. Check the add-on's active term before relying on the same capacity for future publishing.
- Small arrives, larger does not: verify the exact larger-file size, supported media type, active add-on state and saved Sender Type. Retain any actual error instead of inventing a hidden cause or repeatedly resending.
- Neither arrives: return to basic route, task and permission checks. This is not enough evidence to blame the large-file boundary.
- The problem is a split or incomplete album: use the Album Delivery Mode guide for that separate grouping question. A larger-file allowance is not an album-completeness guarantee.
- The file exceeds 2000MB: it is outside the documented add-on scope. Prepare a smaller authorized version or choose a separately supported delivery method; do not expect repeated attempts to enlarge the allowance.
If an in-scope file still fails, give product support a sanitized record: task label, sender type and bot alias, source/target types, file type and size, add-on active state, time with timezone, actual error, and the small-file comparison. Keep credentials, private invitations and member-only contents out of public tickets. This is more useful than recreating every task.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a new bot for files above 20MB?
No new bot is required by the documented add-on flow. Sender Bot Large Files 2GB extends the existing configured Sender Bot; after activation, no additional task configuration is required. The bot still needs its normal connection and target permissions.
Does this change Personal Telegram Account or Discord forwarding limits?
This guide establishes only the documented Auto Forward Telegram Sender Bot scope. Do not transfer its 20MB/2GB figures to Personal Telegram Account, Clone Profiles, Discord to Telegram or Telegram-to-Discord publishing.
Should I activate it if I only forward small files?
RedFox says the add-on is generally unnecessary when all forwarded files are below 20MB. Check the actual file sizes and saved sender before buying an extension you do not need.
Will it fix a file deliberately blocked by a task rule?
No size extension makes an excluded post eligible. Review the relevant rule and destination permissions separately; preserve intentional exclusions rather than disabling everything to force a result.
Keep the sender; solve the file-size need
Open Auto Forward Telegram's product and platform overview, then inspect the Sender Type and actual file size on one affected task. If the add-on fits, check its current terms, activate it, and verify one fresh larger item before relying on the route for regular publishing.
Choose the Web App, iOS app or Android app as you prefer. Web/App provide fuller management than the limited Telegram-bot entrypoint. Active forwarding tasks run in RedFox's cloud without keeping the management interface open; actual destination observations still establish whether your chosen file arrived.
Keep Your Sender Bot for Larger Files
Inspect the task sender and actual file size. Evaluate the documented 2GB add-on only when it fits, then verify one fresh item in a controlled destination.
