Telegram Shows iPhone 8 Plus After Connecting Auto Forward?

An “iPhone 8 Plus” entry can be the connection used by RedFox Auto Forward Telegram (@AutoForwardNew_Bot), according to its documentation. If you deliberately connected the service and then noticed that name in Telegram’s device list, check it against your own connection history before removing it. RedFox says deleting that connection prevents the bot from working. But the device name alone is not proof that an entry belongs to RedFox, or that your account is secure.

This guide is for an operator who still controls a trusted Telegram session and wants to identify an unfamiliar entry after connecting forwarding. The outcome is a decision: keep a connection you can account for, investigate an uncertain one, or follow Telegram’s security guidance for access you did not authorize. Auto-Bot.io publishes this guide; RedFox operates the forwarding product. The former bot @Auto_Forward_Messages_Bot moved to @AutoForwardNew_Bot.

What the iPhone 8 Plus entry means in the product docs

RedFox’s iPhone 8 Plus FAQ identifies that device entry as the connection used to run the bot continuously on your behalf. It also warns that deleting it stops the bot from being able to work. That explains why a device name you do not physically own can appear after an intentional product connection.

Read that explanation at its actual scope: it describes the product’s documented connection. It does not identify every session with the same name, certify the entry on your account, or rule out unrelated unauthorized access. We have not inspected your sessions or performed an account-security test.

RedFox’s cloud-operation FAQ says forwarding does not require you to keep your internet connection on. Closing the management interface is therefore different from revoking the Telegram connection it relies on. Neither statement guarantees uninterrupted delivery of every message.

Check the entry without changing anything first

Use Telegram on a device you trust, with the account you actually connected to forwarding. Telegram’s account-access guidance places the session list at Settings → Devices, or Privacy & Security → Active Sessions. Client wording can vary. Begin with observation, not Logout, account deletion or a new login.

  1. Confirm the account. If you use several Telegram accounts, verify which one you intentionally connected. A remembered setup on another account does not explain an unfamiliar entry here.
  2. Recall the connection event. Did you personally initiate the RedFox connection? Record the approximate date and time, with your timezone. Do not approve another login merely to recreate the event.
  3. Read the session details available in your client. Compare the displayed app/device details and creation time with that connection event. Keep creation time separate from last activity: a cloud connection may remain active after you close its management interface.
  4. Check for contradictory activity. A connection you cannot account for, messages you did not send, or changes you did not make should not be dismissed because the device label resembles the product FAQ.

Telegram’s logged-in-session reference distinguishes device model, app name/version, creation time and last activity. It also describes country and region as determined from an IP address. Treat location as one clue, not an identification of a person or proof that the entry is yours. You do not need to run developer API calls or extract session files to make this check.

Choose the branch that matches your evidence

  • You initiated the connection and the details fit. The RedFox FAQ provides a plausible explanation for the unfamiliar device name. If you want forwarding to continue, avoid removing the connection as a cleanup experiment. Keep a private note of the account, connection date and purpose so you can recognize it during a later review.
  • You connected RedFox, but this particular entry is uncertain. Ask product support to clarify the documented connection using non-secret details. Until you can account for the entry, do not label it trusted simply because of its name. If you choose to revoke uncertain access, expect the forwarding connection to stop if it was the one RedFox needed; continuity is not a reason to retain access you do not trust.
  • You did not initiate the connection, or see unauthorized activity. Prioritize account control. Use Telegram’s official session controls and security guidance rather than reconnecting forwarding. A product FAQ is not a reason to preserve an unauthorized session.

If Telegram refuses to terminate another session because your current session is too new, use our existing new-session termination guide. It covers that separate starting condition and the official restriction. Do not log out of your only trusted session or repeatedly sign in to try to bypass it. If you have lost access entirely or received an account-state notice, start with the Telegram account-state and recovery guide instead.

Ask the right support question without sending secrets

For a product-connection question, use the contact route in the official RedFox documentation. Describe what you initiated and what you see, rather than asking a helper to log in for you. For example:

I intentionally connected Auto Forward Telegram on [date, time, timezone]. On the same Telegram account, Devices now shows an iPhone 8 Plus entry created around [time]. I want to understand the documented connection before deciding whether to retain it. Which non-secret details should I compare?

Do not send login codes, two-step passwords, session files, full IP addresses or screenshots exposing private chats. Telegram’s bot-safety guidance says not to give bots passwords or Telegram codes. A support conversation is not an account-authorization step. If a request asks you to authorize a login you did not initiate, stop and verify the route independently.

For a Telegram account-security problem, follow Telegram’s support guidance. RedFox support can explain its product connection; it cannot certify that nobody else has accessed your account or replace Telegram’s session controls.

If you already removed the entry

If forwarding stopped after you removed the documented connection, that is consistent with RedFox’s warning. It is not proof that the removed entry was legitimate, nor proof that every other part of the task is configured correctly.

  • Removal was an intentional security decision: resolve the account-access concern before considering a new product connection. Do not reconnect just to restore traffic while the reason for revocation remains unresolved.
  • You removed a connection you now recognize: review the official connection documentation from the product page, then decide whether to authorize it again. Do not send credentials to a helper or assume the old connection can be restored without authorization.
  • You choose to reconnect: inspect the existing task and destination before expanding anything. Use the existing forwarding setup guide for route checks, then observe a new permitted source message in the intended destination. This is a check for you to perform, not a delivery test executed for this article.

Do not use the product’s Logout option as a harmless session-identification test. The current RedFox Logout FAQ warns that the action stops and removes data and running tasks and that they cannot be recovered. That product action is not interchangeable with simply closing the Web or mobile interface.

Frequently asked questions

Does this mean I own or need an iPhone 8 Plus?

No. RedFox documents that name as its bot-running connection. For this reader case, identify the authorized connection rather than looking for a physical phone you own. The label alone still does not authenticate an entry.

Can I assume any entry with that name is safe?

No. Compare it with the connection you deliberately initiated and the available session details. If it is unexplained or accompanied by unauthorized activity, follow Telegram’s account-security guidance. This article makes no claim about RedFox’s storage, staff access, encryption or deletion guarantees.

Will closing the Web app stop forwarding?

The product documentation describes cloud operation without keeping your internet connection on. Closing the interface is not the same action as revoking its Telegram session. If you remove the required connection, RedFox says the bot cannot work.

Should I change my password instead of checking sessions?

Do not treat a password change as proof that an existing session has ended. Telegram describes Two-Step Verification and session termination as separate security steps. Follow its guidance and verify the intended session is no longer listed after a permitted termination action.

Next step: account for the connection before expanding forwarding

If the entry matches the connection you deliberately authorized and you want the service to continue, retain that connection and keep your private note. If it remains uncertain, clarify or revoke it before treating it as trusted. For unauthorized access, the next step is Telegram security guidance, not a forwarding subscription.

When you are ready to manage a recognized connection, start from the RedFox Auto Forward Telegram product page. Choose the official Web app, iOS app or Android app. For fuller management, use the Web or mobile apps rather than the limited Telegram-bot entrypoint. The official mobile-app guide recommends the feature-rich app; choose the surface you prefer. Active forwarding runs in RedFox’s cloud without keeping that interface open. Review one existing route before adding more.
